Complete List for Peanut Butter Recall Via FDA
Here’s the complete list of companies, products and brands affected by the peanut butter recall that has to date led to more than 500 people becoming sick from Salmonella and EIGHT reported deaths. The worst part is that the company responsible: the Peanut Corporation of America KNOWINGLY sent out product that was to be destroyed – - based on regulations.
The peanut butter recall list has a wide variety of recognizable names including dog treat companies, Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s, and especially note the section of the list referred to as “Snack Bars”, like Clif Bars, Health Valley, Zone Diet. You’ll find Weight Watchers, Jenny Craig and Keebler cookies. Check out the search box at the top right. Or choose general categories, but specific categories on the list will bring up the specific product affected. Check you pantry, if you have anything bought in the last 3 months.

It’s all about the money.
I can’t believe that they took such a risk though. Couldn’t they at least have heat treated the nuts before selling them?

More specifically it’s about pure GREED.
This company evidently, pretty much cornered the market for their commodity based on the full spectrum of affected businesses, but instead of being a giant who could afford to do the right thing, they made the CHOICE not to.
2009 will be a rough year. And IT has yet to really hit the fan. There’s more of urgency, now the whole new class of people are feeling the impact that hadn’t before, but there are a LOT of people who have been feeling the hurt YEARS before who have been ignored.
2009 will be littered with fraud, greed, and preying on the vulnerable – - and despite the dark cloud overhead, it’s times like these when the greatest opportunities are found. You gotta decide which perspective you want to dwell on…
